Selection and installation of servo planetary reducer

Time:2019-12-22

As a very precise transmission component, the servo planetary reducer must be selected carefully and professionally. Incorrect selection, the output of the servo planetary reducer installed is insufficient. During the selection, some users mistakenly believe that the rated output torque of the selected reducer only needs to meet the working requirements, but this is not the case.

First, multiplying the rated output torque of the motor by the transmission ratio, the obtained standard value should be lower than the rated output torque of the similar reducer shown in the prototype of the servo motor planetary reducer. The second is to also consider the load working capacity of its driver motor and the actual need for larger torque in work.

Theoretically, the maximum working torque required by the user must be less than twice the rated output torque of the servo planetary reducer. In particular, some applications must strictly adhere to this rule, not only to protect the gears in the reducer, but also to prevent the output shaft of the reducer from being twisted.

This is mainly because if there is a problem with the installation of the equipment and the output shaft of the reducer and its load are stuck, the overload capacity of the drive motor will still cause it to continuously increase its output, and the output bearings of the servo planetary reducer may be forced to exceed It has twice the rated output torque, thereby twisting off the output shaft of the servo reducer.

In another case, during the acceleration and deceleration, if the instantaneous torque received by the output bearing of the servo planetary reducer exceeds 2 times its rated output torque, and this acceleration and deceleration is too frequent, the reducer will eventually be damaged.
